Going into HospitalIf you are going into hospital, hospice or care home it can be a frightening and lonely experience. The Catholic Church has the Sacrament of the Sick or Anointing to help with sickness.
Chaplains are no longer provided with the name of patients in hospitals due to Data Protection. It falls to patients, families and friends to inform the Church. Many health care providers apportion resources for chaplaincies in line with how many requests are made, so you are actually helping the Church by requesting a Cathlolic chaplain and requesting the sacraments.

What to doFollow these steps to arrange a hospital or home visit.
1. Contact the Parish Office either by telephone (01527 63096) or by using the Request Form (opposite). Please remember to enter the name of the hospital and ward or home address. 2. Please also speak directly to one of the priests by contacting the office or speaking to a priest after mass. In an emergency it is possible to request the Alexandria Hospital in Redditch to call the Catholic Chaplain via the pager.
